Sample data, so you can see the shape of it. Not real performance, and not a forecast.
Three things most trackers get wrong
Options, handled properly
Spreads counted as one trade, not four orphaned legs. Rolls linked into one continuing campaign. Assignment and exercise carrying cost basis into the stock position, which is what actually happened — not logged as a mysterious deposit. Most portfolio tools were built for dividend investors and choke on all of this.
Any broker, no password
Export your transaction history and upload the file. Robinhood, Schwab, Fidelity, E*Trade, J.P. Morgan. Farravan never asks for a brokerage login, because a journal has no business holding the keys to an account that can trade.
A journal that scores itself
Write your thesis before the trade and it locks. Afterwards, Farravan compares what you believed against what happened — which tags beat the market, whether your high-conviction calls earned their size, what the trades you took an hour after a loss actually cost you.
What it is not
Not a broker and not a place to trade. Not live prices — end-of-day, which is all a review of yesterday needs, and which is why this can be affordable. Not advice about what to buy. Your broker’s app is where you trade and watch the tape. Farravan is where you work out whether any of it was a good idea.
